The Neighborhood
Las Luces Village sits on Bee Creek Road in Spicewood, on a hillside between Lake Travis and the ranch country west of Austin. Water, wine, golf and live music are all a short drive from the gate, and the city is close enough for a night out.

Things To Do
Drive times are approximate and depend on traffic on Highway 71.
Lake Travis
Boat ramps, marinas and rental docks sit just down the hill. Book a pontoon or a ski boat for the day, or head to a waterside patio for a late lunch.
Hill Country wineries
El Gaucho Winery and Epic Cellars are the closest pours, with The Pole Barn at the Vineyard nearby. Highway 290 toward Fredericksburg opens up a full day of tasting rooms.
Golf
Pedernales Golf Course, the Willie Nelson designed course cut into the hills, is the local round. Several resort courses around Lake Travis are within a half hour.
Luck, Texas
The Old West town Willie Nelson built as a film set, two miles away, now hosts concerts, Luck Reunion and occasional open days.
Swimming holes and springs
Krause Springs, Hamilton Pool Preserve and Pedernales Falls State Park are the classic Hill Country dips. Reserve ahead in summer, they fill fast.
Trails and paddling
Muleshoe Bend and Reveille Peak offer hiking and mountain biking, with flat water for kayaks and paddleboards on the quieter arms of the lake.
Barbecue and small town tables
Opie's Barbecue in Spicewood is a pilgrimage, and Marble Falls, Bee Cave and Lakeway add steakhouses, taquerias and coffee for the morning after.
Disc golf
Swordstone Disc Golf Club is minutes from the gate, an easy afternoon for a group that wants something to do between the pool and dinner.

Easy to reach, far enough away
